It is time.
After speaking to a host of people over the last five years as I focused on my original doctoral research at Penn, the launching of Potentious, and a phase II analysis of my data set, I have decided that it is time to write a book dedicated to role of leadership in M&As via Kickstarter. As many of you know because you read my blogs, I come at the M&A space from the unique focus of leadership. I do this because, as I have stated many times, I firmly believe that leadership is the foundational element that will determine whether an M&A deal is successful or a failure. So in order to share these insights more broadly, I have launched a Kickstarter campaign to partner with people like yourselves to create and write the first book dedicated to this topic.
If you are like me, you own a pretty big library of M&A books. Many of them focus on the author’s views and experiences with respect to M&As including processes, frameworks, and models. There are even some books focused on human resources, talent, or people topics. Yet, no one ever wrote a book dedicated to leadership in M&As.This book will include my research and others’ research including academics and consultants, as well as interviews I am conducting to develop very rich stories and case studies that I am developing on major M&A deals like AOL-Time Warner and Yahoo-Tumblr for example.
I trust that you read my blog because you are a believer in the impact leadership can have, so I want to partner with you to raise the funds and make this book possible. Because together, I think we change the success rate M&A deals by focusing on leadership.

Change the mindset. Change the model. Change the outcome.
